El Lunes 21 de este mes de Noviembre a partir de las 9:30am, tendrá lugar en la Sala del Carroccio (Palazzo Senatorio) del Capitolio Romano, el evento “Derechos de la Mujer = Derechos Humanos” organizado por la Asociación Dominicana “ProMueve RD” con el Patrocinio de la Alcaldía de Roma.
Un homenaje al sacrificio de las Hermanas Mirabal “Las Mariposas”, asesinadas por luchar contra la dictadura de Rafael Leonidas Trujillo en República Dominicana el 25 de noviembre del 1960.
Este año, ProMueve RD se propone no solo recordar el legado de las Mirabal, más reflexionar sobre cómo la igualdad entre mujeres y hombres y la eliminación de todas las formas de discriminación y de violencia contra la mujer, forman parte de los derechos humanos universales.
Ilustres personalidades actuarán como ponentes de la iniciativa, expresándose sobre la temática del evento, entre ellos la ilustre Senadora Lavinia Mennuni, S.E. Dr. Luis Emilio Montalvo Embajador Dominicano ante la Santa Sede, además de la especial participación del destacado Artista Contemporaneo Gérman Pérez, quien se trasladará desde la ciudad de New York para enrriquecer la iniciativa, el Psicólogo Dr. Riccardo Capozzi entre otros destacados profesionales y representantes institucionales.
Es el tiempo de la mujer, de recordar y honorar todas aquellas que han contribuido a la construcción de nuestras sociedades, tiempo de reconocer todas aquellas que inspiran y que continúan cada día forjando un futuro más equitativo y justo para todos y todas.
